Many Palestinians and humanitarian organisations continue to refer to Gaza as the world’s largest open-air jail, a tightly confined area with limited room for escape or expansion. There is no place for them to call home, or even a shelter to sleep safely each night.

The 2 million people who live in Gaza are in utter poverty as a result of more than 15 years of blockade and violence, and one-third of them live below the poverty line. Given the historically low levels of food, medicine, water, and electricity, 80% of the population must rely on aid just to survive.

MyFundAction condemns all violence against civilians and calls for an end to the decades-long Israeli blockade of Gaza.
