Story

The number of converts who started to give up and leave Islam due to the lack of proper guidance and the lack of Islamic teachers in Japan is worrying. In the past decade, the number of Muslims in Japan has doubled from 110,000 in 2010 to 230,000 in 2019. Due to that, the number of groups and activities promoting knowledge of Islam and Muslims has grown in recent years.

However, the Muslim population comprises only 0.5%, which are still minorities through Japan. Even though the number of Halal shops is more than before, Islamic source supplies such as Al-Quran, praying garments (telekung), and prayer books are hard to find. Still, cultural differences made them having difficulty knowing about Islam because of a lack of information.

They only can attend Islam-related classes at masjids or learn about Islam at home, especially children. However, several masjids are forced to cancel lessons because of a shortage of teachers or instructors. They have no choice other than opting for Islamic education at home.

The Best Gift Box Of All Time

Despite being separated by culture and time zones, we can guide them to appreciate the beauty of Islam. The Hikari Box campaign aims to spread the da’wah of Islam in Japan by teaching them about Islam. It gives them the best gift to facilitate reverts in Japan who have just taken shahadah around four mosques established by the Muslim community.

Hikari Box contains:

  1. Arabic – Japan Quran Translation
  2. Prayer mat
  3. Prayer attire
  4. Digital prayer beads
  5. Video prayer guidance in Japanese

To date, we have distributed 500 boxes in 3 different places with 150 packages for each, Shizuoka, Nagoya, and Yokohama. We want to open the opportunity for you to perform waqf to share happiness with our reverts as low as RM50/waqf.

Akad waqf

I hereby would like to waqf the amount of (the amount of money endowed) on the name of (intended waqf to whom) to sponsor the convert kit (Hikari Box) distribution in Japan that MyFundAction organizes.

Prophet SAW said: “God, His angels and all those in the Heavens and on Earth, even ants in their ant-hills and fish in the water, call down blessings on those who instruct others in beneficial knowledge.” [Tirmidhi]

In sha Allah, helping someone revert to Islam or return to embracing Islam will be accepted by Allah SWT as an act of a dai’e. Hopefully, they will remember you in their du’a to provide them with helpful guidance, offer assistance, and pass on valuable knowledge. May this waqf bring us and those we are performing for, grow closer to Allah, and attain His Paradise.
