With Worn Walls and a Broken Roof, Surau Kg Tebang Baru is No Longer Safe for Use
Kampung Tebang Baru is a village separated from a land road in Perak. It can only be reached by water route, which can take up to 45 minutes from the Tasik Banding jetty using a speedboat.
2. The Surau only receives clean water through rainwater harvesting without a filter, which is somewhat limited and not very clean.
3. The overall condition of the Surau is dilapidated, with limited space and damaged rubber carpets.
Why Your Support is Crucial?
Despite having limited resources, they are forced to use the Surau as it is the only place of worship and community center available to them. The renovation process requires a significant amount of funds, which they, as rural workers, are unable to afford.
Without this renovation, they remain exposed to health risks and dangers due to the old condition of the Surau and the unfiltered water.
