Ramadhan 2023 is just few months away from us! It’s really mind-blowing how fast time flies.
While many of us hoping to celebrate Ramadhan with joy, not to mention, with different kind of dishes to choose every day for iftar, let’s not forget the less fortunate people who struggle for a mouthful of rice.
Like our needy brothers and sisters in the Middle East and Africa. Do we ever stop to think what they usually eat each day? How about their upcoming Ramadhan?
According to statistics, Middle Eastern nations like Turkey, Jordan, and Egypt are among those that take in the most Syrian and Palestinian refugees.
There are nearly one million Syrian refugees in Turkey. Meanwhile, UNHR recorded a total of 629,128 in Jordan and a total of 132,375 refugees in Egypt.
The Central African Republic recorded that 2.8 million out of the country’s 4.6 million population, were malnourished as a result of many of its inhabitants starving.
From Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As RA said: “A man asked the Prophet SAW: Which Islam is the best?
The Prophet SAW said: “You feed, greet people you know and people you don’t know.”
Let’s put a smile on the face of those in need by sharing a portion of our sustenance with them.
Believe me, sharing what we have with others—especially those who are less fortunate—won’t lessen our wealth in the slightest. Instead, we’ll be granted with tons of rewards especially during the glorious month of Ramadhan.
We exist to create a better world by touching many hearts one at a time.
