“Bathing in sweat for a clean water…”

Everyone is aware of how crucial water is. There are obviously several issues if there is no water, even for a brief period.

In this instance, there is absolutely no water supply. Can you foresee the problems that will arise?

But this is the reality that East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia citizens must deal with. They have no access to clean water in their neighbourhood.

To collect the 20 to 25 litres of water they require for their daily needs, they struggle up and down the stony, mountainous road every day.

A local claimed, “Usually, we will trek 600 metres to acquire water, either for cooking, bathing, and most importantly, for praying.

This is what they have to deal with. They are left with no option but to persist and be patient.

Consider this: what would it be like for senior individuals between the ages of 60 and 70 who had to travel up and down such a mountainous road? Imagine our grandparents or parents.

Is their strength sufficient? Even those of us who are young find it difficult to handle at times.

For the people of East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, there is no such thing as being unable or unfit, though.

Therefore, MyFundAction has taken the initiative to assist the people of East Nusa Tenggara by installing three to four pipes that go straight to their homes in Desa Maru.

In addition to providing a source of clean water, this will also contribute to the improvement of the community’s level of cleanliness.

They no longer have to trek a big distance and waste a lot of time to collect water. However, the necessary expenditure can be as much as RM30,000.

By sharing some of our sustenance, we can offer a clean source of water for the people there.
