Yes. We are a registered NGO. Formerly known as Yayasan Dana Kebajikan Muslim Malaysia established since May 7, 2014. Currently changed our name to Yayasan Kebajikan Muslim (MyFundAction).

A new branding name and images was developed as we go global. “My Fund Action” are chosen to carry the action taken from the fund given by you to us.

We are empowering youth skills and development by getting them involves in every projects we do especially towards serving back the community.

We recognize transparency as one of our core values. That means donors will be ensured that each cents from the donation will be given to the right needy community.

MyFundAction focuses on youth development in 3 aspects;

  2. Entrepreneurship
  3. Academic Excellence

Yes. All our projects are created and developed based on the world Sustainable Development Goals criteria. We work closely in making our youth contribution meeting towards the global targets.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

The distribution of funds received is 87.5% for beneficiaries, while 12.5% ​​for operations for example accountability, administration, transportation etc. Kindly inform that we are in the process of reducing the percentage of operation cost in the future.

MyFundAction's Work

We are not a representative for the Lembaga Zakat. Thus, we cannot issue zakat receipts. However, we can provide tax release receipts from the LHDN.

In the unusual event that a project or appeal is over-funded, donation drives will be stop and we will complete the final project execution. Supposing if there is, we will allocate excess funds in the general donation for other ongoing projects.

For Autodebit, we provide two (2) options for our donors.

First option:
We will send you a monthly reminder for Autodebit deduction via link.

Second option:
Direct deduct from your credit/debit card which we require you to contact our representative (Fatimah – 0162181090) to share your full details required.

It depends on the type of goods and supplies. At certain cases for certain campaign, we do accept donations of supplies in large quantity.

Yes, MyFundAction is an NGO under sub-section 44 (6) of Income Tax Act 1967, and all cash donations to MyFundAction are tax deductible (applicable only to project within Malaysia only)

Yes, there is a minimum amount needed. However, please note that we have a certain level of administrative cost that needs to be maintained (postage, admin etc), as such we require at least RM50 should you wish to claim for tax deduction.

The Inland Revenue Board (IRB, or commonly known as LHDN, Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri) has recently issued the revised Guidelines for Approval of Director General of Inland Revenue under Subsection 44(6) of the Income Tax Act dated 15 May 2019 (“Revised Guidelines”). The Revised Guidelines supersede the previous Guidelines dated April 2005 (“Previous Guidelines”).

Based on the Revised Guidelines, donors must provide complete information of the following details in order to obtain an official tax deduction receipt from the organisation:

The Revised Guidelines also states that the approved institution or organisation is not allowed to issue tax deduction receipts to donors who fails to provide their complete personal details stated above.

The donations made for campaign in MyFundAction applicable within Malaysia only.

The tax deduction receipt will be given within 3 working days

Tax deduction receipt will be sent to the email address given through info@myfundaction.org

Donors can go to portal LHDN and search for Tabung Kebajikan & Pendidikan MyFundAction

Who may I contact to request for the tax deduction receipt?

Donors can request tax deduction receipt within the year until 31 January of the following year.
